Celebrating Good Times…

What a whirlwind of a weekend that was!  And it was the good kind of whirlwind…the kind where you’re whisked from here to there celebrating the accomplishments of the ones you love!

The princesses celebrated the closing of softball season with well-earned medals and proudly displayed trophies!  A big thanks to my sister and brother-in-law for getting the girls to their ceremony on time!!

And then there was the celebration that couldn’t get here fast enough…

A graduation worth celebrating over and over (at least until the student loan payments kick in!)….the hubs’ graduated on Saturday!!  He is now a proud graduate of Southern California Seminary!  He earned a Masters in Religious Studies, a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies, and a Masters of Divinity and did so with honors!

DSCN4019 The graduation was held at Shadow Mountain Church in El Cajon, Ca.

DSCN4058Can you see the excitement???

DSCN4061 When all the men took off their caps to sing, I couldn’t help but giggle at how many of them were bald!

DSCN4065 DSCN4070 DSCN4071  DSCN4085Congratulating fellow graduates!  There were three who got their Doctorate…quite an achievement, but no thank you!!

DSCN4092 One proud wifey!!  We were both glad to see this day come and go!

DSCN4094 The hubs’ parents and most of my side of the family came to congratulate his achievements!

I couldn’t be more proud of the hubs and all his hard work over these last few years.  What a great example of perseverance and dedication, not only as a student, but as a husband, father and a pastor!  He’s been an inspiration to our family and I think I can speak for both the princesses and I when I say, “It feels so good to have him back!”  His eyes are no longer glued to the many books spread all over the couch or to the computer writing what seemed to be hundreds of papers.  I love that I can actually sit on the couch at night and relax with my hubs and not my hubs and all of his schoolwork!!  I think that sounds nice right about now!

Blessings,

J’lene
